Oh, I never put my book up.

Here are pages from my paper doll book. There is little to no text in all of the paper doll books I have looked at, but when I implemented this into my own piece it seems like it is missing something. I think I'm missing text. Does the information on the bottom of the coupon page need to be repeated on the coupon itsself?
I'm also having trouble with the copy on the first inside page with the actual doll. Does it make sense?

Please ignore the repeat pages. That was all blogger. It's not really like that.

brochure

I decided to make invitation as my "brochure" piece. Everything in Avondale is getting torn down for a Publix, so many of the business are reopening in new locations down the street. I thought it was just too perfect to do an invitation for the reopening!
This is just an image of what it looks like while closed. (the stroke around the hand is just so you can see it on the blog)

New Ads! Hurray!

Here is my total redo!
This is the first time I've worked with something for awhile and ended up completely throwing it away.
but it's ok!
I feel good about these new ones.
There are still a few things I know I need to touch up.. The white type on the 5X5 is too hard to read.. I'm also going to play with photoshop more to get the tearing of the paper just right. Besides tightening everything up I think I'm there.
I think these ads speak more to the soul of the company. It needed some pretty. It also opened up a good opportunity for my speciallty item.. Paper Dolls!
I need to figure out how to do perforation. That can't be too hard..right? :)

Toying

Just trying another way to incorporate my lovely logo.

I know I can save it!

I definately understand about the previous typeface being inappropriate. I liked that it was playful, but I see how it can distract from the "pretty" factor. I really like this new type treatment. I've expanded upon the bee line to really incorporate the logo instead of just having it sitting there at the bottom.
