Stationery sketches

I'm very excited about stationary, so I went ahead and puta few things down on paper. I'm the most excited about the business card. If I can pull it off...... it's going to be absolutely adorable.

Sketches continued

Sketches!

I rounded up a bunch of my wonderfully sloppy sketches for your enjoyment.
So, enjoy.

(more to come, blogspot decided it didn't feel like uploading anymore right now.)

Older logo trials

This documents my progression to the logo I've decided to continue with. Also thrown in are a few things I tried for Bound to be Read.

Tenative Logo

My logo for finders keepers is supposed to have a bit of a nostalgic feeling. As a consignment store, everything in the store is used, and that's what's great about it! It's not like a thrift store, the items are still in good shape, so the logo still needs to be classy. I have begun to play with color but have not yet reached a resolution.

Anatomy of a Typeface

This is Bjorn Johansson’s Anatomy of a typeface. It's a triptych that plays with the literal meaning of anatomy ~ which in typographic terms is referring to the different parts of a character. Unfortunately there is not an entire typeface in this fashion.

Blogging

This is semester is my first experience with blogging. I understand the practicality of it and that it can be a very useful tool in expressing yourself/ getting yourself out there/ being exposed to others, BUT it's hard not to get slightly freaked out by the entire concept. It's strange when you really begin to grasp how connected the world is becoming. Sit down and think about who could possibly be looking at your page. Look at this first and let the creep factor sink in.
